Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hard ski travel case

Poster: A snowHead
Hey guys,

I have just got a sportube double ski case. It is a hard case which oddly enough, holds 2 pairs of skis and poles. They typically seem to cost about £100 but on snowandrock, they have it reduced to £67.96

Hopefully this is of use to someone!

buns, S&R's 04/05 catalogue price was £84.95 but you've still got a pretty good deal.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I used to have a hard single case, but then I got two pairs of skis, have a well padded bag with wheels. Takes both pairs of skis, and a load of clothes too.

No, I got the guy to check - because it was the previous year's model (so it's black, not grey), it had been reduced to half price. I could have had the current one for £70 if I'd really wanted... Very Happy

If you have a double ski bag or box, do the likes of easyjet still charge carriage for two pairs of skis or do you get away with just paying for one Puzzled

Markw, I've not used it on easyjet etc. Only on the trans-atlantic routes.

Markw, I'm fairly sure that the SleazyJet charge is weight limited, which just about forces you to pay for both pairs of skis. You'll need to check out the T&C on the website to be sure, we haven't yet used them since they started charging so don't know how hard they enforce the rules.

Markw, just rechecked...they constantly change their conditions it's impossible to keep up! SleazyJet website now says per item, I assume that means as long as you stay within their 50kg max weight limit you should be able to take two in one bag?
