Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Oops, On a similar note friends of mine used to own the ski hire beginner slope concession at the top of the Jungfrau, only open in summer, they told me that each morning the Piste basher had to shovel snow to the end of their slope and build up a little mound to stop skiers as just 5 M beyond the end of the run was one of the deepest crevasses on the glacier, fortunately it was covered by a snow bridge and so could not be seen normally but my friends had a couple of pictures from the end of the season when the bridge had partially colapsed so I could see where it was, hell of a thing to have at the end of a beginer slope Twisted Evil

Up on the 2 Alpes glacier last summer there were crevasses opening up everywhere. Definitely not for beginners, but the resort decided to stay open right through to the end of August. Money talks....

Mark it's not as bad as it sounds, the little mound of snow at the end of the piste was about 1M high and the piste itself was very gentle so I don't think anyone could have skied over the mound Laughing
