Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

If you mean Chalet Rosset from Ski Olympic, then yes. I've stopped there 4-5 times over the years and always found it excellent. A large modern chalet all ensuite with a mix of good and OK sized rooms, good lounge and dining room. The food has always been EXCELLENT and the wine flows well. Always been well looked after. Not to far from the piste, 2 mins walk and then ski down to the Chaudanne chair to get back to the centre of Tignes De Lac.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers Steve,
Hopefully it is one and the same (mate is booking it !) Not au fait with layout of Tignes, is it anywhere near the Funicular ?

Type23, Nope, I think you're down in Le Lac (confusingly on the Les Almes side) very near the Lavachet and Chaudannes (sp?) chairs. It's not 'much' of a tromp to the bus station for the link up to Val Claret but you'll not need to worry about getting to the railway if the snow's good. Loads of people head for the glacier as if it's the only place to ski. The area's huge and can be exquisitely quiet away from Le Motte. You’ll enjoy it wherever you stay and you've an easy link over to VD.

EDIT! scrub that, I'm thinking of Bartavelles rolling eyes

Chalet de Rosset is up the hill end of Le Lac near a bus stop and one road over from the baby slope (an easy slide down to the Aeroski lift). Le Rosset (hotel) is just down the street and a very short walk to the same lift and the centre/ bus station. The rest of the above still applies
