Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mont Fort

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Went up to Verbier yesterday. No viz in the valley but further up was clearer

Mont Fort was open so went up to have a look at the back side

A bit wind loaded and crusty at the top but really nice and hardly any tracks lower down. This is a decent view of the Mont Fort couloirs.

Kuro tracks Very Happy

The sun came out and the snow started to sparkle!

Lots of fresh tracks to be had

The dam at Siviez

Blanket of cloud in the valley

Clouds came in after lunch. Stairway to heaven with Mont Fort front side in the background.

Tortin

Started snowing later. Coming out towards La Tzoumaz from Vallon d'Arbi

Cheers to Adrenaline ski school for the free Vin Chaud!

Surprisingly good day. The snow is in great condition and still lots of powder to be skied.

Ooooh I could jump off a doll's house! Great photos, thank you, that pic of the couloirs on the back of Mont Fort just higlights what a fantastic hill it is. Out of interest which of those Couloirs are Poubelle and B52?

yup - the red line is the 'verbier poubelle'. good luck with the hike along the mont fort summit ridge to access the entry though wink
the line to skiers left of poubelle, with the extremo rocky entrance, is B-52. thought to be honest there is a mountain of other lesser known terrain off backside of Mont Fort that never gets tracked fast. mainly i guess because most peeps are too lazy to skin or hike 20 minutes to access it. plus the traverse out to siviez is a good snowboard filter!

nice pics & turns Very Happy

Great report. Really like the pics, I'm getting even more annoyed I won't be in Verier this year.
