Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There's hope for some of us yet!

Fascinating story of Hungarian-born Lou Batory, still skiing every week through the season in the States...

Quote:
"I don't ski with some of the frenzy of when I was younger," Batory said. "But sometimes when I'm out there early in the morning, the hill is perfectly groomed and the sky is a pure, crystal blue, and I look down the hill and -- all sanity goes out the window and I take off flying."

PG,

This is a good proof that skiing can last longer than sex!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My Godfather just stopped skiing aged 87, his wife still skis aged 85.
My Grandfather didn't start skiing until aged 67 and that was in the late 1940s.
My Grandmother had been a founder member as a young girl of a ski club in Australia that (*I think) lays claim to being the oldest ski club in the world (or was it having the first ski lift in the world?)

saikee, you're making the wild assumption that the now-famous Lou Batory is no longer having sex.

The aphrodisiac power of skiing to a 94-year-old should not be underestimated.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
