Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Jackson Hole Zone report
Quote:
A 33-year-old snowboarder escaped serious injury Sunday on Teton Pass after he triggered an avalanche and was swept over a 67-foot cliff onto Highway 22.

Daniel Hundere of Driggs, Idaho, plunged over a sheer rock face just uphill of where Glory Bowl meets the highway, about 3 miles west of Wilson, sheriff’s Deputy Dave Hodges said. Hundere was buried in four feet of debris on the road.

About 18 passing motorists and other skiers quickly dug him out and administered first aid, Hodges said.
Quote:
The man’s dog, a golden Labrador, took a more conservative route and came through the Glory runout unhurt
Quote:
After an examination, it appeared Hundere would be released with no significant injury

Very lucky as you say, but I can't see that it is a good way to exercise a dog, surely.

I suspect the dog lead him into it wink How often do you hear the winter "man enters sea to rescue dog, man dies, dog survives" story? This is the snow clad equivalent. snowHead

Ian Hopkinson, that's all part of the dog's masterplan for total world domination. Cat's have similar plan, but implement it with more cunning (they're smarter, you see): cats just weave in and out of your legs, purring lovingly to you, while you're walking down the stairs.

hyweljenkins, Not in our house they don't, Jack Russell. Last house I bought had a cat flap as previous owners had a cat. Soon after moving in, myself and aforementioned Jack coming down stairs in near darkness. Previous cat (always coming back) must have been in hall because Jack takes off after something that I cannot see, World War 3 in the utility room, and end of cat flap as 'something' followed by Jack hit it at terminal velocity. Last time the cat came to the house though, assume it survived.
