When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anybody used the resort creche in LDH we are going on 27th with our 9 mth boy, would like some prior knowledge of them.
I know that they do 2 x half day assements to see if they suit each other, after that how easy is it to book for the rest of the week or is it only day to day after that

geoffknight, posted on LDA bit. Creche is good as far as I know. The staff don't speak much English though. If your kid is OK with that (should be, a 9 months they're not great conversationalists), then it should be fine.

Hello, back from our holiday with an update on the creche. Not good is the best we can report, it is in a residential part of the village, which needs 2 buses to get to from the main part, you then have to negotiate a spiral stairway which is very narrow, not at all child friendly. Once in we found a number of babies on the floor crying unattended. We left Ben for the afternoon, when we returned we were told that he had cried most of the afternoon. This is out of character for him, he loves his creche at home and hardly ever cries. Our feeling is that they take your money and child ( in that order ) and dont give any care. We took the decision not to go back after this and shared the skiing as best we could, not the ideal solution but better for Ben. We are going to either use an UK operators facility and book earlier next year or share the skiing again.
Would love any one to come up with a tried and tested location if they have one.
