Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What do you all reckon is the best all round ski for a good intermediate (Snow & Rock scale 6!) who does about 70:30 on vs off-piste??? Rossi Bandits?? I'm about to head off and I'll probably get weak whilst there and buy something snowHead I love my SX-9s but they weigh a ton and whilst awesome on piste they are a joke in the deep stuff.

K2 Apache Recons have got some serious fans as do the Atomic Metron B5s wildly different shapes but word on te street is that they're two nuts in the same golden sack.

Yeah - I'll be giving the Metrons a look - not sure about the B5 though - maybe a bit advanced for me.

I just gave my new Rossi B2's a good testing at Alpe d'Huez last week. Started out (have done 6 days before over 2 yrs) on the greens, fell over a few times catching edges on sloppy turns. By 3rd day I was doing black run moguls then started doing a bit of off piste powder.

Skis were fantastic and gave me so much confidence that I even did a 6 foot small cornice drop off and loads of jumps at the beginner snow park. On the powder they floated through it, on fast carving they really let me feel the edges bite. Love em to bits and think that they are a really forgiving ski for people moving up the scale.
