Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Many UK 1/2 terms run from 12-19 Feb - easy to spot, look at the hikes in brochure prices !

Well if it doesn't snow in europe soon i shant bother to book a trip as it'll be pointless if the snow is rubbish. Fortunately it's just the two of us going so i can leave it last minute and hopefully still find something suitable.

austin7, Yeah, but it's not the UK that's the problem - it's when you add Paris, Holland and half of Belgium to the equation that it becomes difficult.
It's really hard for us in resorts too - too much demand for one week and not enough for the rest of the time. You also end up feeling that you're somehow responsible for the queues and the extra cost and so on. Obviously we're not, but still, it's hard as a ski teacher to give people value for everything when you can only control one small bit of it!
For some obscure reason hardly any other countries seem to take the sensible French solution of spreading the hols over 4 weeks. WHY?
