Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Half Term times?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hey Peeps,

If i remember correctly, last season someone had a calender of all the different european half term times etc i just can't remember where it was snowHead

So, i am planning to go away for the second week in February which i believe is the week before English half term. Anyone know which european (if any) half terms my week off may coincide with? And where should i avoid? I am currently looking at Austria or Andorra, so if i found out that it was spanish and french half term i'd deffo steer towards Austria for example. Any help appreciated snowHead snowHead snowHead

Many UK 1/2 terms run from 12-19 Feb - easy to spot, look at the hikes in brochure prices !

Well if it doesn't snow in europe soon i shant bother to book a trip as it'll be pointless if the snow is rubbish. Fortunately it's just the two of us going so i can leave it last minute and hopefully still find something suitable.

austin7, Yeah, but it's not the UK that's the problem - it's when you add Paris, Holland and half of Belgium to the equation that it becomes difficult.

It's really hard for us in resorts too - too much demand for one week and not enough for the rest of the time. You also end up feeling that you're somehow responsible for the queues and the extra cost and so on. Obviously we're not, but still, it's hard as a ski teacher to give people value for everything when you can only control one small bit of it!

For some obscure reason hardly any other countries seem to take the sensible French solution of spreading the hols over 4 weeks. WHY?
