Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A mate of mine has asked for comments on these skis. Anyone got any? I had the SX11 last season and liked them, though they were heavy. At £220 including bindings these seem dirt cheap. Whaddayareckon for a someone who's only skied for a week?

That would be a very nice ski for a learning skier. They are, as are all Atomics, biased towards modern carving technique, so your friend may need to understand the basic approach to letting the ski turn the skier. However, they are a real steal at that price!

Ellis Brigham has them for £280, which seems more reasonable a price than £220! My first skis (Dynastar Radical Extreme with Salomon 757 bindings) cost that in 1991.
