Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Folks,
There was I sitting with my daughter, aged 2.5, watching CBBCs this morning. On comes Pingu, the slightly demented parping penguin. His friend rolls up with some nice blue skis - (Salomon AK pocket rockets by the powder blue colour). Pingu gets out the barrel staves and off they go skiing
What a good time they had! One sidesteps up the hill, the other turns on moguls, one gets airs, does the splits, one makes some nice carves. Hockey stops, broken skis

In vague keeping with this theme, we just bought Gabrielle Walt Disney's Countdown to Christmas, a complilation of stories. One of them is "The Art of Skiing", featuring Goofy learning to ski which is hilarious - the kick turn has to be the best bit - well worth buying and you can always use the excuse "it's for the kids".
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Bob the Builders Christmas special also has lots of ski shots in it........ but my 4 yr old says Bob does it all wrong and should learn to snowplough (sorry, that should read my "I can ski mummy" (after a weeks worth of lessons) " so dont hold my hand" 4 yr old.)
