Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Movie lovers - ski here

The Sundance Film Festival, named after Robert Redford's ski resort in Utah but actually based in Park City (one hour away), is now a major stop on the movie festival merry-go-round.

Even better, it's held in one of the great ski areas of the world. Better still, it's in January (20 to 30, to be exact), so there's a very good chance of the powder beating the attractions of sitting in a cinema - maybe wait for the evening showings!

For those interested, here are the details on the official website.

Anyone been? Anyone seen Robert Redford on skis? (I think a stuntman did a fair bit of his work on 'Downhill Racer'.)

I stayed in Park City during the Sundance film festival in 2001. Didn't meet any movie stars though.

The nearest I came was sharing a lift at the Canyons with Brian Cox's personal assistant, and I impressed him mightily by knowing that Cox was the first actor to portray Hannibal Lecter on the big screen. (5 nerdy film buff points).

I thought I heard somewhere that he did all his own skiing in DR. But I haven't researced that possible fact.
