Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chemmy - a portrait

Analysis, Chemmy style, following this morning's practice run.....

Val d'Isère, Thursday December 16th.

Relaxed, ever smiling, always willing to chat ... Chemmy Alcott was enjoying perfect piste conditions and visibility in Val d'Isère today, the second practice session for Saturday and Sunday's two World Cup downhills. Not easy to reconcile her laid-back approach with one of the most dangerous sports there is, as she jokes with her coach after the run in which she skied at speeds of over 70 mph. "It sucked!!" she laughed, referring to her coach's instructions to take it easy so as not to have too high a start number in Saturday's first race. Half-way down she realised that she was travelling too fast, contrary to GB team orders, so treated the curious tourists beside the arrival area to three sharp braking turns shortly before crossing the finishing line. It certainly worked - well up with the leaders over the first two sections, her last split time of 10.75 seconds was the slowest of all 52 racers, over a second slower than the day's fastest skier, American Bryna McCarty. Still, she was a little embarrassed, realising few onlookers would have known what was going on!

Changing after the race she chatted cheerfully in fluent French to spectators standing nearby..."Are you the only "Anglaise?" "Don't you feel a bit isolated?" ... "No I've loads of support", she laughs. Plenty of British fans too, by the look of it wink ...

Relaxed and smiling maybe, but if she turned up at your place without any beer would you let her in?

I just had a look at her official site - http://www.chemmyalcott.com/. I've decided that I'd even buy her the crisps to eat in bed.
