Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Did anyone see Peter Fill and his right hand ski ? How can it come away as easy as that ? Will he be using Dynastar for the rest of the season ?

Russell, as Elizabeth B says - yes - though I don't know where it happened. When I took the photo I was about 5 seconds from the end of the race, just after the last jump.

It was very cold first thing, the conditions perfect for the first racers down the hill. Then a slight wind got up, temperatures began to rise and this certainly didn't favour the late starters. Young Les Arcs racer Thibault Garnier had precisely the same problem, losing a ski to "excessive compression" (apologies, don't know the proper English term for this!) when after a jump he went down too hard on his skis to absorb the shock, this causing a binding to release. It's not that rare a mistake - happened in one of the women's speed events last week, I think.

A selection of photos, racing and fun, in this album.

Hannah will kill me (she'll hate the photo) - but a first for the forum! (and one better than SCGB, Natives and all the rest can claim!

SnowHead "Hannou" presents flowers to winner Werner Franz at the prizegiving. (Werner's hand bottom left wink )

Now if only she'd had a snowHeads t-shirt..... snowHead snowHead

I suspect that she and her friend Alisson would have preferred the traditional "bise" (kiss on cheeks) from Bode rather than Herr Werner, but I told them it could have been worse - it might have been Maier Shocked wink

Ian Hopkinson, I hope you're not referring to the lengthy period I spent in the hospitality tent Shocked

These events must cost the resorts a fortune. I would love to see the figures, how it all balances out.

PG, Great photos. I don't think either Bode or Hermann were in a kissing mood anyway! BTW everyone: Finlay Mickel beat hermann Maier and several other top bods today. I believe he also scored worl cup points - GREAT! Laughing

PG, I was commenting on the fact you had daughter centre frame rather than race winner Very Happy I'm sure snowHead funds can support you in your trips to the free hospitality tent, networking and stuff - I'm sure!

More on Bode Miller's astonishing, and now record equalling start to the season over on our sister forum, snowRacers. Another win for him at Sestriere.
