Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Our Banff AB, Canada trip... My favourite place in the world

 Poster: A snowHead

Had a fantastic trip to Banff, Canada, for a week of Skiing courtesy of a Fall Line Ski comp. Big thanks to everyone who put the effort in to make it all come together for an unforgettable week skiing at some of the quietest and remote in-bounds skiing i've had the pleasure to do. I've never skied such varied terrain in one place as i have at Lake Louise. World Cup downhill runs, tree skiing, with and without bumps, couloir skiing, with and without bumps, bump skiing, some bigger than others etc etc... It's been an average season out in lake louise by all accounts following last years huge dumpage, but it still held more than enough snow. It snowed while we were there which kept things nice and fresh. Sunshine has lots of snow and we were fortunate to ski on a fresh powder day. Of the two, we preferred Lake Louise - though we never had a chance to try Delerium Dive at Sunshine as we only there for 2 days and were injured and drunk for one of them Very Happy

Anyway, a few pictures below... hope you enjoy them.

Me and Keith at the top of the 6 man chair at Lake Louise.

Keith on one of many double blacks that were on the Ultimate Steeps section on the back bowls of LL

Keith (again... he has pictures of me) heading towards the run out to the larch area on a double black

Keith dropping in at Sunshine

There be a storm coming on Goatseye Mountain Shock)

Sparkles in the sun at Lake Louise

There's more photos on my flickr site here

I'll add more over the next few days and hopefully some of me skiing. and some videos to follow as well.

If you get the chance, get over there. A more friendly place you will not visit. Cheap food and drink and some of the best snow i've had the pleasure to ski on. I skied harder and steeper than i have ever before and learned so much about different techniques. Brilliant

If only i could move there Sad Very Happy

dan... i'm sorry to say that they never - Sad

We had the use of Head Monster im78s and 82s when we were out and they were just so much fun and handled the variable conditions better than the AMCs. Only place that the Fischers would have been better was on the groomed trails in the mornings when it was a bit icy (mens world cup downhill) and we only used the groomers at the end of the day to head home. I really really like them, but i fear i may have skied them for the last time Sad

I get my new K2s in September now - think i'm going to go for the Xplorer or Outlaw. I'll sell them at the same time when hopefully folk will be looking for cheap skis.
