Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Serre Chevalier proposed new lifts

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
If you visit the Serre Chevalier web site it mentions in a number of places that next summer they are proposing to build two new six man detachable chairs.
Does anyone know where these chairs will be located ?

No idea, but I hope at least one is at altitude in the Frejus sector it needs it.

Chris, I think, and maybe someone can back me up on this. One at least will replace the
Foret drag lifts. I don't think the other was in the Frejus sector, but I'm not sure. Earlier in the year the website did say where they would be.

One is to replace the Clos Gauthier chair (Serre Che 1400). The other starts from Aravet 2000, arriving at the top of the Plateau de la Rouge...

Private Message to Admin and tell him what you want to use. Easier than registering all over again.

Thanks for the info, a lift from around Aravet 2000 makes alot of sense, but it's a shame the other one is not an altitude lift from the Frejus sector, I agree with TBar one is really needed in this location.

Now I would like the slow chair that links to Monetier-les-Bains replaced. That one is really slow.

Helen Beaumont, We would like all the slow chairs and long drag lifts to be replaced. However TBar (I think) and I were talking about a new chair from the Frejus sector towards the Chantemerle area, to say the Clot Gauthier peak, have a look at the piste map.

Chris-only because it's only a 3 -man and the queues can be dreadful. Don't disagree with you about the new lift, just think they ought to fix the old ones first. I think they have to replace some of the drags because of their gradient.

Can't say I agree with replacing any more lifts in SC. It'll only make more people go there wink

The Foret 1 & 2 from Aravet are long old drags - be nice to see them replaced by lifts!
