Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have a fuji s602z, my first stab into proper photography! I have a nice little samsonite case but this is an over the shoulder thing which is supect would be neither padded enough or warm enough for a ski trip. So had anyone a suggestion of a reasonably padded backpack that would do the trick? I have had a look and lowepro seem a good start but they are catering for someone with s hedload of lenses and bodies and whatever, and im not there just yet! Resultantly so, these bags are big and bulky. I would like somethign reasonably shallow so that my profile isnt enormous!

Wear The Fox Hat, very nice pics. I noticed that the first two are compressed to 86% and the others to 99%. This makes little difference on screen, but if you need to make lagre prints the compression will show up.
Are they anything to do with SCOPE the charity?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

MartinH, yeah, last year I did the white peaks challenge with them.

I was very tempted to do the challenge last year, somehow life got in the way. Was it fun? would you do it again? You obviously had some great weather and time to take pictures snowHead

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

MartinH, it was great fun, and very tiring. I would do it again, but not this year...

As for costing, I look at it like this...
Digital camera + memory card = £300

Disposable
£5 + £6 development for 24 shots = £11 or, roughly 50p per photo

So, since I bought my digital camera, I've taken maybe 1000 photos that I've kept. (and probably another 500 which I've taken but deleted)
Doing the maths, thats 20p per photo for the 1500, or 30p if you only count the ones I kept.
Now, the thing is, after taking another 1500 photos, my cost will be 10p per shot. While the disposable is still costing 50p a go.
