Poster: A snowHead

The Tignes website - http://www.tignes.net doesn't work well enough to divulge this information. I've heard the only real choice (sorry, no choice) is the 'Golf' underground parking. Anybody know how much it costs?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

There is an open air car par park in Val Claret, just as you come into the 'village'. IIRC the cost was 7 Euros a day earlier this year. It is bookable via the www.tignes.net site, although I couldn't get the link to work just now (you could e-mail them).
The Tignes web site is pretty crap, no?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Pete Horn, Last year for two weeks it was about £80 (eeek!). The Val Claret outdoor park is cheaper, but you do need to move your car when they plough it.
Do you have a roof box? Suprisingly some floors of the car park have especially low ceilings....so beware ! Duct tape makes a very good repair matierial, ptex doesn't.
There is also a 'free' carpark at Les Boisses - you can drive up to Tignes, unload and then drive down again and park.

Pete Horn, all I know is that during the winter season all the (public) Tignes car parks are on the same weekly rate - 69€, 7 days.

If your car's in the open air one at Val Claret, it might be worth knocking the snow off from time to time. I haven't parked there myself, but last year I saw a number of cars completely disappear when we had 6ft or so of snow in a week. As we had freeze-thaw conditions at resort level one day, those guys must have taken hours (literally) to dig themselves out.

If you book your accom through tignes.net you get the option of the ski pass and the parking. Very good value like that. My friend and I got an apartment, 2 x pass for Espace Killy and parking for 600Euro last year!! Considering the price for the pass was 180 I would put that down as good value

2 years ago they charged me 20 euros for 2 days at the end of the season. I thought it was a rip off, as I was staying in one of the hotels opposite!
