 Poster: A snowHead

Anyone used these? Seen the 8's on Dynastar's website, but no sign of the 7's (last years model I believe). Been offered a brand new pair of Omecarve 7 162's at a ridiculous price. My brother (who's been skiing for 15 years) thinks they will be ideal for me (I've done 4 weeks skiing now (3 in various levels of ski school) and am able to confidently ski pretty much any blue runs, and easier reds.
Will be doing 3-4 weeks this year, so really do wanna buy ski's rather than hire.

Charlatanefc, is this the ski you're looking to buy? (Do the sidecut numbers match 112/70/98?)
If you have boots already, then this is reasonable but I think you'll be happier with the 8 by week 5 or 6.

That is indeed the ski I am looking at (altho the deal I've been offered is even cheaper!). I do have my own boots, a pair of Nordica Smartech's.

Heh heh heh, told you I was being dense  There's a bit too much red on them for my liking (the 7's) but there's more blue there, so not to worry lol
