Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Welcome back, jonpaul. Of course we're still here. Things have been quiet on this particular forum over the summer (we obviously have more of a life than the two plank merchants!) but we've kept things ticking along. It's getting more active now.

Paul Mason, you don't need to start it..............they've been providing plenty of evidence for the "sk=ng is gay" thread all summer, especially recently with evidence of what some of them have worn!!!! rolling eyes will they never learn Puzzled

Last years best was an all in one pink number with big yellow spots on - looked like Mr Blobby

About time too! I hope you will forgive a 2-plank invader (part-time boarder only), but the great thing about boarding gear is practicality. Far too much ski stuff is all style but not fit for a mountain. I wear a boarding jacket. When I replace my trousers they will be boarding-style and baggy.
I note that ski stuff is more kinky than useful. Whereas boarder stuff seems to be derived from arctic explorers (anyone know what board that is?). I think this would be a great outfit, and isn't he holding a board as well?

skiing is the new boarding. it's just fashion.

ah, you cynic Nick!

They are inherently different forms of movement and so do have their own separate attractions. I hope that SnowHeads are genuine enough to be ruled by their own desires rather than by fashion. I certainly don't care about whether boarding is fashionable and if you saw my 10 year old mountaineering jacket that i wear, you'd know that I'm telling the truth (or maybe i am just going for that genuine retro look?)

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Ah well,

Me - I go for the grunge look - but it's more to do with wearing gear out & lack of money than any fashion statement!!!

Damn, two entirely reasonable responses.

Boarding was the best thing to happen to skiing but right now skiing seems to be what the young tykes go for.

Boarding is more physically challenging for the young children though.

True and falling over when boarding hurts a lot more.

And with boarding, falling over counts as a legitimate stop.

Skiing is far more techniquely demanding, though apparently not as easy to spell.
