Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cap straps

Has anybody ever seen cap straps on sale anywhere (seperately from bindings). A search online only turned up Boardwise as selling them and they were out of stock. Wouldn't mind trying them out as I've noticed a few people say they are the dogs dangly bits. But I can't seem to find anybody selling them.

I've seen someone say that Urban Chaos have them. I think Blue Tomato do as well - I reckon more and more places are gonna have them as there's quite a buzz around the, £25 quid they are but check if they'll fit what you currently have (non Burton bindings will need some drilling and filing apparently! Shocked )

Shouldn't be a problem, as the bindings I have are 03/04 Burton P1-HD.

Can't figure out if you need to order 1 or 2 though. It only says cap strap and not cap straps. It's not clear to me whether they come in pairs or if ordering 1 really does mean you are only ordering 1. It seems like they should be sold in pairs, but nothing makes it clear.

Got a set of cap straps from snowboardasylum.com. 25 quid plus 2.50 delivery for the pair.

Have only had a chance to strap myself in and hop around the living room so far. My wife wasn't so keen on my suggestion that I try a rail slide down the banister. snowHead

First impressions are extremely good. Seem very secure. Fit the front of the boot extremely well. Felt extremely comfortable in the 5 minutes I was strapped in for.

I am now itching for the snow to come so that I can get out there and start giving them a full work out. Roll on December 16th.

EDIT : Added link to piccy of boot strapped in.

Purple metaflake binding and brown suede boots! At least it goes to show that boarders are 'straight', no self respecting gay is going to be seen dead in that combination. Wonder what colour the rest of the kit is?

Ah, that's a relief. My wife was worried when I bought a Burton board and bindings last year. At least now I know I don't have the fashion sense to be gay. Shock

Don't suppose it would help matters if I said my jacket was orange. Puzzled
