I think the camera may be back on the Ptarmigan tow hut. If so it would be a rather long walk for the train driver. Might take him longer than the 15mins between trains to get there and back. Snowing again in Aberdeen as I type this.
Hopefully there might be enough snow to do a bit of sliding at the weekend - even if only a bit of touring  .

Now the snow has cleared a bit on the window of the restaraunt I can see the camera is still inside the ptarmigan building- so the driver just needs to pop outside and give the widow infront of the camera a good clean .

To clean the window is a lengthy task. It is in the very top corner of the window, and only reachable on scaffolding.
They are going to get an additional webcam for this coming winter which will be situated I think in the Ptarmigan Tow Hut and will point up the Basin. This - as it was last year - will be regularly wiped clear of snow.

the rocks still seem to be a problem - if that's a piste the webcam looks at.......but it's white!

Directly at the bottom of the Ptarmigan cam isn't a piste, no.
