Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

DJ, I hurt myself so badly on a dry slope, I nearly didn't ski at all , ever. So I never took my kids on one, as I thought the bad experience might put them off. What actually nearly out them off was trying to shunt them off to ski school. TO be fair, we didn't really have a choice as we couldn't ski either, so we compormised a bit, and made sure they always had lunch with us, and took them out for a play in the snow a couple of afternoons. After the first couple of years we were confident enough to go out with them each day, Now, they're obviously better than us......................

We put our 2.5 year old on skis for a 'try' as she wanted to have a go, having seen her older sisters on them. She looked very cute but didn't understand at all how the mechanics worked Puzzled

Chris Reed, have lots of friends who rate the Montriond ski school on the Lindarets plateau in Avoriaz. They seem to specialise in childrens skiing. Family Ski Company have a lot of chalets in Ardent just below the plateau. Adults have miles of choice in the PDS.

sparish,
Interested in your experiences of French day care.

Got a almost 4 year old daughter who we need day care for for Christmas ski break.

Worries about language problems and looking for a reasonable snow sure resort with an English speaking creche where hopefully she'd have the option of trying out skiing but definitiely have the chance of out door snow fun.

Any ideas?

Thanks John

John Lonergan, La Rosiere has a very good day nursery called Les Galopins, a number of our guests have used them, you can find details via our website www.tracksvacations.com just click on the link to La Rosiere Tourist Office and click through to ski-schools. La Rosiere is a very good resort for families, it's rated one of the top ten by BBC holiday programme and has the petit montagnards accolade for child-friendliness. It's also a very snow-sure resort. We're full over Xmas and New Year but my son has availability in his chalet, you find his details at www.morealps.com.

John Lonergan, unfortunately sparish hasn't posted since December 2004, so she may have disappeared for good. So don't hold your breath on a reply... but obviously I hope for your sake that she does come back on this.
