The 2010 snowHeads End of Season Bash
24th April - 1st May Val Thorens...
The true appeal of the EoSB is hard to convey without sounding like we're making it up. It's been variously described by those who have been as, the most 'friendly', 'supportive', 'educational', 'challenging', 'fun' or simply the 'best' week's skiing they've ever had (see I said it would sound like we were making it up). the EoSB weeks do seem to have proved to be effortlessly friendly events: a big group of people willing to engage both on and off slope yet without any pressure to do so in any way.

Bash FAQ
Val Thorens is the Highest resort in Europe and part of the Trois Vallées superdomain which makes it the ideal place to get in a sneaky last week of snow, long after 'normal' people think the season's over As the whole VT domain is above 2100m every run will be open this week. The depth of snow at the end of the 08/09 season was the best it's been for years.
Accommodation
For the last few years, we have had very comfortable apartments in the Oxalys which is a 4* residence known as the 'Best self catered accom in VT'. It is ski-in/ski-out. It also has a swimming pool, saunas and Hammam. We'll be going back there again this season and the price we have is a very special deal indeed given the quality of the residence...
Costs
After much negotiation and a little bit of luck, we're very pleased to be able to repeat last year's Price:
£365 for 7nights (quality) accommodation and a 6 day lift pass for the Val-Thorens area. (Discounted for supermega-snowHeads).
Appropriate or amusing room-shares will be arranged so no one needs to pay a single supplement although a room to yourself is available at extra cost.
Travel
We're an independent bunch, so it's up to us each individually to arrange. Some are already in the general area, and some are planning to drive.
Geneva airport is about 3hrs away by road.
Moutiers Salins Railway station is about 45 minutes away.
One resourceful snowHead is looking at putting a bus on to take u all the way
Transfers
Technically it's up to u to get yourself down to VT but for those who require transfers to Val T from Geneva, Michelle, as in previous years, will be organising her ubiquitous lardy-bus (see the link at the end for details). She'll try and make sure no-one gets left behind
Instruction
the EoSB has become known for the very high standard of instruction available, and we expect to have most of the same guys back again. Last year we had three of the best instructors you'll find anywhere fixing your bad habits and giving you good ones, looking exclusively after us that week (and if you think that's hype, go read the feedback from past years )
Groups and private lessons for all standards, bumps and off-piste technique clinics at both introduction and improver level.
There will also be guided off-piste groups each day, with some days being pitched at an easy/intro level and others more challenging/adventurous.
Equipment Hire
We will likely have a very preferential rate for ski hire - honestly, it's barely more than ski carriage and a service... and far less effort.
Internet Access
The Oxalys, has agreed free Wifi access for our group again (normally 45€)...

Events and Features and Partners
One of the week's highlights is a fun race organised in partnership with ProSneige ski school. It really is for everyone, even if you've never so muched as looked at a gate before
EoSB snowRaffle
Last years winners can be found here
As if that lot isn't enough there's usually a few other bits and pieces too which come together nearer the time.
e.g. ski tests, avalanche search practice, talks, workshops, meals out, night skiing
This is just a summary though, there's more to tell so if u like the look of it so far Click to find out more on the EoSB
