Poster: A snowHead
|
Well it includes a kind of skiing trip. I'll be in Le Sauze (Alpes de Haute Provence) between August 4th and 8th for a grass-skiing event and, I hope, a few days by the Lac de Serre Ponçon for some water skiing ... but mainly down in the Avignon area from tomorrow onwards, splashing around in a pool, and occasionally pretending to do some painting and decorating ...
So I'm absenting myself 'permanently' until late August..... (Ok I might drop in to snowHeads now and again if I spot a computer somewhere!!) Maybe I'll have been relegated from most prolific poster spot by the end of the summer?!
In the end I was greatly confused by the various specs for laptops and ended up not getting one at all.... so unless a rush of blood to the head occurs and I buy one in a store somewhere, I'm unlikely to be IT-equipped for a while.
I've packed a few crates of something to help with snowHeads withdrawal symptoms over the first few days, so it shouldn't be too bad. Loaded the bike, so if you don't hear from me again, it's because I attempted the ascent of the Mont Ventoux....

Fans of PG relax - he is back visiting the site this morning.
On behalf of all snowHeads, may I wish him and his family all the very best for the remainder of their vacation.

Cheers kuwait_ian, All going well so far, we had a great time grass skiing in Le Sauze where I ended up as unofficial interpreter to the Kosovan delegation... However my head still hurts (whoever said that Muslims don't drink?!)
The racing went well... although there was a nasty fall for Hannou in one slalom run which resulted in smashed goggles, scratches and bruises, but nothing more serious than dented pride fortunately... however I'm still suffering the consequences (it's all my fault obviously), and am keeping my head down...
Off back down to the Vaucluse tomorrow, leaving the mother-in-law in charge of the pc - doubt she'll be contributing to snowHeads as a) she doesn't speak English, and b) can't tell a pc from a gramophone.... you don't know how lucky you all are
