Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiing in central Italy?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are on our way south in our motorhome as discussed on here a year ago - everything is going great and I've skied in France and Poland since getting the van.
We are in Rome now.
With the cold weather snap i was looking at the Abruzzo area skiing around Roccaraso but the one campsote that does winter camping i can find online is closed due to 'too much snow' and roads being impassable. This after a long difficult translated talk with the owner. It seems the UK is not the only one who can't deal with snow! I was hoping to fly friends out to Pescara to join me and rent a Camp Site chalet. Not finding anywhere open though.
Is anyone currently skiing around there who can share info?
Or anywhere that end of Italy?
We are headed to Sicily and i understand there is skiing there too.
Any advice gratefully received as ever. Jackie

We stopped off at Pescasseroli a few autumns ago in our motorhome. There was a small ski area there and we saw some pictures of what the current conditions must be like. There were possibly two sites there and I think one was open year round.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks. Together with the other areas there do you think it's worth a visit?
