My cycling partner and his wife just did a week there. They're beginner snowboarders and for them it was great.
Meal for eight with wine 'n beer - £24.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Have been in the summers when visiting family - mountains are great.
Ski area is limited - with some old lifts - so I'd say don't go just for a skiing holiday that compares with European resorts.
That said - maybe there's been some investment lately and there is talk of a low cost airline opening a route into Poland.
If so - then I'll be heading there as soon as possible!

Went to Zakopane a couple of weeks ago, very lucky with snow, a few inches fresh powder every morning. It has changed over the years, groomed pistes, lit in the evenings, some decent new lifts. Still good local food (no mcgrot) at low prices. Of course, it helps if you know the place and language.

In which case I offer my services as translator...
Price = the ability to convice my boss to give me the time off and a nice bonus to pay for the holiday!
