Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Glenshee or The Lecht

Glenshee or The Lecht?

I'm an intermediate snowboarder. I had a few days at The Lecht last year and wondered if Glenshee has more for me. I'm happy on blue runs and will probably soon be able to tackle red runs. The Lecht seemed a bit limited to me in the number of runs available, the narrowness of the runs and the short length. Is Glenshee better in this regard?

Yes. Lots more variety at Glenshee (assuming snow is ok) - you get much more of a sense of travel as it's spread over 3 different valleys rather than The Lecht's 1. Runs are a bit longer too.

It's still Scotland though - don't expect it to be huge.

Glenshee for me.

Just make sure you are comfortable on surface lifts.

Yup Glenshee. Lecht is an excellent bad weather option though, seems to be more sheltered

If you can use a button tow Glenshee wins. If you struggle please go to the Lecht so we can actually use the lifts instead of waiting on boarders constantly falling off Toofy Grin
All joking aside Glenshee is fantastic given the right conditions

First post here! Glenshee is awesome, was up loads earlier in the year. Was at a similar level doing blue runs, but got on to the reds and blacks by the 3rd or 4th visit. Didn't find anything particularly difficult except the tiger black run. Pretty steep at the top but mellows out. Glas Maol is epic as stated before, has a nice drop in off a ridge off piste if you want a rush! (You can see it to the left on the lift up)
