Lhotse and north couloir skied

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Not really my cuppa but for those that enjoy this kind of adventure the North couloir of the 8500 meter Lhotse has been skied off the summit by Jim Morrisson and Hilaree Nelson

"thenorthfaceThis morning, @hilareenelson and @jimwmorrison became the first humans in history to ski the Lhotse Couloir. After summiting Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain on earth, Hilaree and Jim made a 7000 ft descent. We couldn’t be more proud. The crew is back at Camp 2 getting some much needed sleep after a 17 hour push to the summit and the ski descent. More photos to share when they’re back at base camp. A huge thank you to the team from the @khumbuclimbingcenter for being a part of this expedition. Photos by @dutchsimpson and @nickkalisz. #LhotseSki2018 #neverstopexploring"

@davidof, yep, very impressive line, I always wondered what Jim Morrison had been up to since 1971... turns out he has been busy re-inventing himself Happy

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Pretty cool.

Think a few folks have skied near it, over the years. But never down the actual chute. It's steep, at 45-50 degs for most of the way.
