The terrain in and around St Moritz is amazing - I'd go there a lot if it wasn't such a pain to get to. However, you're starting from Zurich so you're in the area
I'd take a look at somewhere like Le Monetier - good skiing in its own right, nice village and close to La Grave which is always fun
Now that I think about it, I can work in a day at La Grave, which I think should be on everyone's ski bucket list.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@skiberg, here's my opinions;
1 Lofoten, Norway, terrain check, good snow check, unique check, money check:D
2 Pyrennes, Spain, March is the best time here some big storms can roll in off the bay of Biscay, great food and wine.
3 If things are not playing with the Pyrennes weather hightail it to Italy because the storms can come up from Genoa to hit the Vialattea.
I heard march can be big in Pyrennes. Formigal, any thoughts?

@skiberg, if you’re a good skier and want to ski lift/hike served off piste add Verbier to your list. For terrain you’d be hard pressed to match Attelas, Mt Gèle, Mt Fort and the legendary Bec des Rosses...
Verbier is on the list. I know they have tremendous terrain. I can also use points at the W, if I can get in last minute. Supposedly one of the best ski hotels in the world.
Everything really depends upon the snow.
I am not bringing skins, so everything will be lift service or guided.

@skiberg, yes the W is a nice hotel. You don’t need skins for the best of Verbier but being willing to hike with skis on your back for a few minutes opens up a lot of additional possibilities. By March the snow pack is deep enough to more or less guarantee access to the key North facing slopes above 2500m. Fresh snow, of course, is in the hands of the Gods...
