Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sportube 2 - spares in the UK ?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Coming back from Tignes last Sunday, going through Grenoble airport, we noticed that one of the wheels on a Sportube was shedding plastic. I see that in the US you can order a replacement wheels, axle & locking nut set.
Does any Snowhead know where I can order the same in the UK ? keen to get this sorted before our next trip to VT in March.
Thanks in advance for any info you guys can supply me with.
cheers

If stuck, drop me a PM. I've got a damaged Sportube 2 which might have a salvagable wheel. Airport handlers dropped it from a great height on its first trip. Then to add insult to injury, they left it sitting beside a heat source when they were inspecting it for my claim and welded the two secdtions together rolling eyes

Still, got a replacement out of them

Just use large cable ties, strong string, velcro straps etc to tie up the ski brakes.

You may be able to reuse the same cable ties if you don't pull the brakes up too high. Take spare ties for the return journey if you have to cut them off.
