Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Village Cap Vacances, Tignes Le Lac

Hi, I am thinking of using this hotel for a school ski trip next December. It looks like it is just above the Paquis and Chaudanne lifts...? So basically, is it easy to get between the lifts and hotel or is it a bit of an inconvenient schlep please? Students will be 15-18 so will be able to carry skis around with them as long as not too far.
Cheers.

Although living just above those lifts I can't work out which that building is. Do you have a bit more detail, or a link with a picture. Sometimes names and brands change more regularly than I change my socks!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks! Does this help? Also seems to have the name Lodge des Almes?

Its somewhere in Les Almes, some of them are ski in (depending on ability) some are ski between a building and cross the road and some are a bit of a schlep. Not many are ski out without a clamber up a bank and a pole. So somewhere between a 3 and 7 min walk to the centre. When I can access a decent plan I will try and be more specific.

Found it! Now that I, my laptop and its power cable are in the same location!! Its on the main road into Tignes - about the third on the right after you cross under the Chaudanne Chair. So it is not ski in ski out in any shape or form because of the nature of the slopes down to the chairs in Lavachet (Chaudanne - a red run into town or Paquis a blue into Val Claret or Black to Le Lac). So it will be a 6 or 7 minute walk uphill on a morning. It is close to the bus stop - but this is the navette from Boisses so it is only every half hour (and is often rammed at peak times). So not massively convenient but should be within the scope of most teenagers.
