Muscle position memory?

Noticed last time out, whilst sitting on the chairlift, that on the first few trips up, first few runs of the day, my skis were hanging (on feet) underneath me in a reverse V shape, heels together. Looked at the lady on the chair in front, exactly the same thing.
By the third run they were hanging completely parallel to each other, and didn't want to to go back into the V shape at all, even if I really switched off and relaxed.
Not thinking about it wink , just an interesting observation.

@Grizzler, now, I could make my usual observation, really, I could, but I won't...

...that's interesting though.

I wonder if it's fatigue of some small (maybe not so small?) muscles that are sort of influencing resting position?

Were you sitting in the same chair at the same position?

I think my skis always and always have rested in a reverse V as you describe.
