Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dynafit Beast - problems clicking into heel

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
The snow was VERY sticky today. Walk around and there was a quarter inch of ice stuck to the bottom of your boots. Didn’t have too many problems scraping it off on the heel riser (though I am a bit concerned about breaking the plastic somehow, although not sure how legitimate the concern is). But at one point I just couldn’t get locked into one of the heels after a little break walking around to take in the view at the top of a piste. Spent a few minutes sitting down and scraping out ice from around the heel piece and under the break pad thing, but I think the main issue was ice in the heel lugs on my boots? Took a while to clear that out sitting in some strange yoga poses. Eventually got clicked in, but they didn’t go in easily. Any thoughts or tips?

@Themasterpiece, it isn't unusual to have some problems clicking into the heel piece of Beasts. I tend to find that it is more a problem of the heel not being lined up correctly. This is rectified by locking the toe piece, clicking in the heel, then unlocking the toe.

However, one of my friends does occasionally have a wild stamping session getting into his in very snowy circumstances. This is often linked to too much snow under the brake and terrifying transition ground.
