The media have today reported the tragic death of a British off-piste skier in Alp D'Huez after he fell from a cliff. Does anybody know exactly where in Alp D'Huez this accident occurred?

There is another thread. In the Alpette sector. It might be the traditional cliffs that people ski off every year above the Lac Besson but I"ve not followed the incident.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It was over in Oz, Plan Du Cerf which is adjacent to the Alpette lift. Sounds like they followed some old tracks and ended up on cliffs. It’s tragic but very odd, that area isn’t renowned as being good skiing, is very wet in summer hence generally always icy with poor snow cover as its quite low, goodness knows what they were doing there.
