You're welcome.
Try to take some time to enjoy the view over the Lake towards the Bellagio peninsula. One of the most beautiful views in the world. You will want to come back!

Do you have any idea of the time it takes from Bergamo through Varenna to Bormio? Roads good for driving?

only know this from summer:
Road Bergamo-Lecco can be busy (one lane for each direction; going through towns).
Along Lake Como is easy highway, but with many tunnels and great views in between.
Easy parking along the road, or in the parking house (but should not be necessary) at south entrance of Varenna, near "Villa Monastero", from there short walk into village centre.
Bergamo-Varenna: 1.15 hr
Should be fine from Varenna up north. Never been, but it is a very low-populated area, and no through traffic.
Bergamo Old City is stunning too by the way
