Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Replacement lenses for Oakley Crowbar goggles?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

Can anyone offer any tips on where to buy replacement lenses for Oakley Crowbar goggles? I've searched high and low for the permsimmon and V28 and it's basically not in existence anywhere! Wondering if Oakley have essentially discontinued the Crowbar line and buying a new set is the only way to go.

Thanks

Seems to be the case, unfortunately!

Only place I could find something was Freeze Pro Shop and a few other online stores, but at full price for the lens (£70-90), you may as well get some SunGods or shell out a bit extra and get the Flight Decks! I went with the latter, gifted the Crowbars to my gf who is just starting out....

Other option would be to contact Oakley and see if they can help you out!

@nosiesta, There are some available on eBay, especially from the US, but by the time you have paid shipping and import duties, they won't be cheaper than new goggles.

What is strange is that the MX (Motorcross) version still seems to be freely available. If the only difference is the tear-off lugs, maybe they would work, but they maybe single rather than twin lens technology.

As mentioned by @haigie, Oakley UK are very helpful, and they may have a stock list of what is at their dealers.

I have a pair of MX Crowbars which I picked up on the fly to have as a spare - turns out with the ski lens being thicker I could not for the life of me get the lens into that frame; conversely I'm not so sure how good a fit you'd get with the MX lenses in the wider slot of the ski goggle. Condensation could be another issue as well...

Any! Haven't you seen how shiney the Flight Decks are?? Blush rolling eyes

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@nosiesta, as above, Oakley may have a few old stock items lying around, but probably not the full range. If you email them, they’ll send you a list.

Can confirm, crowbar MX and snow are annoyingly not interchangeable. It's not just the posts, as I found out.
