Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Resorts close to La Tania

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

I am off to La Tania on 24th Feb. All apartments seem fully booked but we have more people that would like to join us.

Which/Is there any villages close to La Tania they could stay that would be easy enough to meet halfway (by ski or bus in morning).

Thanks!

Try the pistmap for 3V, Meribel on one side, Courchevel on the other side. Toofy Grin

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Hyst. How easy is it to ski from Courchevel to La Tania?

I can see 'Brides le Baines' is very close to La Tania, is it well connected by road/pistes?

All the courchevel villiages (including la tania which is officially a courchevel village now) have a free bus service

Various skiing routes to la tania from courchevel, green, blue, red back down, and back again lots of different routes once at the top. All on same lift pass.

Meribel side needs a 3v lift pass, and no bus service.

Brides is on the bus route, and has a lift up to meribel (would need 3v lift pass to get to la tania)

Have a look on latania.co.uk might be worth contacting the chalet companies and see if they have space

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@JordanJSY,

This piste map shows their relative positions in the lift system - The lift from Brides-les-Bains only gets you to Meribel so the closest common point is at the top of Col de la Loze.

Meeting up with folk staying in Courchevel is probably easier. There's also a bus service that runs between La Tania and the Courchevel villages so you can stick together for Apres-Ski and even in the evenings.

Le Praz is the best connected village. Foret chair from there finishes just above the La Tania gondola. Both access Bouc Blanc and Dou des Lanches chairs. Also regular buses back and forth, after that they do a loop round 1550, 1650, 1850 so 1 way round it’s a long bus trip.

No buses to Meribel.

2 lifts each side of the ridge to meet at a common point above Meribel or 1850. Obv need 3vs pass for Meribel side.

Depending on how many people - The Telemark Hotel www.familyfriendlyskiing.com may have rooms.
I'm going out on the 24th too and staying there. Might be worth emailing bookings@familyfriendlyskiing.com.

Le Praz, 1550 and 1850 are the easiest/closest villages - all very well linked by piste/lift or free ski bus. 1650 is relatively easy to get to but is the other side of the Courchevel Valley.
