Poster: A snowHead

We have some inflatable toboggans that the kids love larking about on. I've read that there is a formal toboggan run in Obertauern, with skiddoos, but was just wondering if there is an area(s) where you can just do your own thing. We went to one resort a few years back where there was no such availability as all areas were either commercial or formal ski runs. Just want to know whether it's worth packing them or not.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@bambionskiis, Edelweisehutte (best goulash soup I have ever had on the mountain) or Lürzeralm (both owned by same family) are really good, bit pricey but worth it.
The Kringsalm is also very good, they do an amazing brettljause ( selection of cold meats and cheeses).

Thanks kooky - All noted. Is there anywhere in particular to go for hot chocolate do you know (either in resort or on mountain). We’ve been doing Scandinavia in recent years where it hasn’t been good, and the kids are pining for a decent one!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@bambionskiis, they are all good! Mind you I have a shot of Stroh 80 in mine so I am a bit biased!
They will ask you if you want "schlag" thats whipped cream, definitely go for that!

Good hot chocolate - so hard to find, sometimes. Mostly fairly dull in France though we did find a "vrai" hot chocolate in Tignes, at the PSB. I had the best hot chocolate outside Italy today - in the "Chocolate Apothecary" in Ryde, on the Isle of Wight. Superb - though possibly not entirely necessary just an hour before a big Sunday lunch carvery.....

I disagree Pam; I thing it’s always necessary . Lovely part of the world the Isle of Wight.
That’s good to know kooky and will note the whipped cream translation. I just googled Stroh 80 and misread overproof for ovenproof!! Will definately give it a go - it’s rude not to try to fit in with the locals!!
Will pm you about your chalet btw
