Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes ski schools

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Heading to Tignes (Val Claret) with the family at Easter - just wanted a bit of advice on finding some lessons for the kids (13 & 11). They don't want to do a full week of ski school (both have skied a few times before) so am looking to book a couple of private lessons instead. Any advice on the best English-speaking ski schools in Val Claret?

Can't help much with Val Claret, as its mainly ESF and Evo2 but if you want to do the 5 min bus ride to Lac, try Ultimate or New Generation

I know TDC Ski cover Tignes, they met up with my wife in Le Lac you will have to check with them if they can start a lesson in Val Claret

We had a good experience with Evo2 in Tignes last year

NewGen did small groups of up to 6 people for 3 or 4 days last time we went with them. They generally get very good reviews. Evo 2 good reviews too, not sure about flexibility of lessons or size of groups. During school holidays usually plenty of choice and decent chance of getting group with similar ages.

New Gen / TDC / Progression Ski - for highest quality instruction, but at a price.

- Evo 2 for a good balance between cost and quality.

Evo 2 all the way! Our group last year included 10yr, 9yr and 6yr olds and they absolutely loved the service offered by Evo 2 in Val Claret. So much so that we have booked up and will be there again in 3 weeks.

Personally, we can't rate Evo 2 highly enough in Val Claret. The older 2 have been skiing in the Alps for 5 years and had bad experiences with ESF (in other resorts).

We had lessons in Les Arcs this year via an instructor who also does lessons in Tignes. She was excellent and my 11yo thought she was brilliant TRADSKI Highly recommended

p.s. To be clear Les Arcs lessons were via Ski Aim who were also excellent and we have rebooked with them this year
