Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ABS Cartridge - Internal Volume

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
This is a bit of an odd one. I'm flying with Finnair and have asked them if it's OK to take the Avi Bag. They say yes, but they need some data.

One question is "What is the water capacity of each cylinder as it must not exceed 50mL"

I presume they mean the internal volume of the cartridge, but I can't seem to find the data online. Does anyone know?

Cheers

Marc

The 50ml is for other devices. It's disturbing how bad airlines are at understanding the dangerous goods rules. Always get a copy of the IATA 2.3.A sheet which has the details of the exemptions for ABS and lots of other stuff.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I guess you probably don't need a physics degree to work in airline baggage. You can see the mistake they've made.

Here's that IATA thing:

and the same thing from Mammut:

And here's Mammut's more general stuff:

THis is Ryanair's approval:

I'd say it's getting less of an issue as time goes by. The only place it's an issue is Trump-land at the moment I think.
