Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

They used a 1star review to promote the resort. I do want to try it now!

Nah. The one star's really for the reviewer who patently can't ski. Snowbird is awesome. As is Alta.

Yeah chutes under the tram are quite burly and Top of Tram to bottom is a leg burner but there's plenty of blues and families who ski there. Geography is some of the weirdest of anywhere I've skied though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Excellent Cool

I have often thought you should have to pass an IQ test before leaving a review.

However the picture looks like the powder skiing marketing that Whistler issue. The runs are skied out and there are moguls, yet the skier is in waist deep blower powder.

I'd second that. Some of my best days ever have been at Snowbird. It just puked all week pretty much when I've been, spoilt for choice as to where to head. Brighton is great too. Got to love Utah powder.

In snowbird, you're going to be fighting for lines (with a different set of people from those who ride the blues) from the first tram... I'd guess the photo is manipulated.

Reviews: Trying to average different things (for example the opinion of a novice and an expert) is not going to give any meaningful result.

@philwig, admittedly not on a powdr day but Snowbird was pretty quiet when I was there, both times.

The locals tend to get on the first public tram on powder days then go back to the city for a day's work. It's very conditions sensitive, and most people in that tram will know each other. The first tram is an hour before that.

I was thinking that by the time the pistes are bumpy like in the shot there, the off piste would be pretty tracked out, hence I think they probably used a little Photoshop.
