I think he was suggesting becoming an agent to put homeowners in touch with suitable 'caretakers'.

I believe there're such agents exist for a fee.
To make a few coins, there has to be sufficient volume of business. How many chalet owners out there are so cheap that they prefer to use a "free" web-based agent? |

Selling a pair of skis is mutually beneficial to only the vendor and the single purchaser not the community as a whole so I think my wording stands. Now if the vendor is generous to add value by providing a comprehensive review of the ski and its strengths and weaknesses ( or say provide help and assistance on ski resorts they know intimately  ) then that is more community minded than saying "This is my price for the ski, I think it's a brilliant price" then getting stroppy when people point out it might not be a competitive price. Or getting the huff if people take the wee wee when returning to offer the same skis for the 9th year in succession.
