We are a private family of 4 living in Switzerland,
We would like to find a couple of helpful volunteers to help look after it (and us) for the winter season.
Simply speaking, that means helping out on weekends and in turn getting the rest of the week for yourselves to ski or enjoy the Swiss winter..
This is not a job! we want help you enjoy the season as much we do, we want you to have as much free time to ski in the week and help us make the most of our free time on the weekend by helping out with household chores.
What does that mean?
Typically we would arrive most weekends on a Friday night, and leave Sunday evening.
Of course there are some chores we would expect you to help out with.
Shopping, Plenty of cooking, some cleaning up after the Weekend,
Only couples may apply, we have found its just better all round.
You are expected to be competent skiers.
Ski teaching some of our guests if you are up to it can be rewarding
Ski teaching our kids ? Not any more,
There isn't that much to do, we generally don't trash our own place and our kids are tidy, there is not a new set of guests every Saturday.
Even on the busiest weekends mostly there is time enough for everyone to get on the slope - sometimes together - sometimes not.
In the week do what you like. Ski passes included, and generally you are invited to join us for meals if you wish.
Getting here and what you consume in your own time is up to you.
Occasionally we may have house guests, and school holidays mean we would stay for longer periods which is an extra work load, but not a disaster but always more fun
So if you want to join us for a season season, just send me a message.
If you have questions please post them here so that everyone benefits
I hope again we can help some snow heads to get more snow-time and they do the same for us in return
Best of luck to the usual naysayers

First to post in this important thread ahead of the usual bunfight
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yay the annual slave search begins
So this year you want a couple of slaves, not just the one?!
What will you do post Brexit, it's giving poor old Stanton a headache. Perhaps he can apply, since we never hear anything from your previous slaves/workers/seasonaires, it would be amazing to hear silence from Stanton .
I gest of course, this will look rather tasty to someone now, especially with the penny pressures.
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

Kids have certainly improved since last year!!
We prefer the term volunteer
Switzerland is not an EU country, so welcome to the club.
Haha, hhmmm I see volunteers helping war torn countries, those in poverty, helping after natural disasters, not acting as a none paid staff member doing chores that you 'expect' them to do!
I'm sure you prefer the term volunteer for financial reasons more than anything else
As said though, I'm sure someone (sorry a couple) will be up for it. Should I have been cash strapped, younger and be allowed to remove my chains every now and then, I would have been up for it too
After all it is free
After all it is free

Do either of you have a life?
This offer has not even been there for 10 minutes and all you can do is be negative and insulting.
What on earth is wrong with you people?

@nixmap, it's the terminology volunteer, year on year you state the same. Your thread would receive less negative attention should you state this is unpaid work, but i suspect for your oen reasons you do not.
Have a cracking life thanks.
I have said the same for the last few years this is a good offer for someone. It really is, (as long as said person survives, not that we would know since we havnt heard from anyone), but please stop calling it a Volunteering role - it's not

Tradition innit.
Plus you put up that kind of music on a vid and you expect to be taken seriously?
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@Dave of the Marmottes, PMSL
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Thank you for all your thoughtful comments, although not sure if it really changes much from my first assessment of your feedback.
I really don't know what you gain from trying to disrupt a thread that allows other snowheads an alternative way to spend a ski season on the slopes.

@nixmap, Each year you post the same request and I like the banter. You obviously get what you want and the volunteer gets what they want. However, if you get a wee bit of a slagging just slag back a wee bit with a smiley or two and we will all laugh with you.
@PaulC1984, is just out of hibernation and there is nothing to worry about. If anyone should be worried it is me after his declaration he likes something sweet and salty. it better be fancy chocolate.
