Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flaine - a night or two

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

Probably a bit of a difficult one but worth a try.
We are returning to Flaine for a week next season at the end of January for a week staying at Le Centaure (probably). However we have the opportunity to stay a couple of extra nights, so rather than leaving on the Saturday we could stay till Monday evening.

So my question is, is there anywhere that offers very short stays? We have contacted the Totem who want us to book 3 nights but are there any other options? Are there any places on the slopes that offer a night or two's stay that can be reached on skis?

I suspect it could be difficult especially at that time of the season, so maybe its not worth it or maybe there are other options - no accommodation is booked yet but want to spend most of the time in Flaine and do like Le Centaure!

Cheers for any help

@LDM, CGH do short breaks in low season, so they may allow you to stay longer, call them direct.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers, have contacted them, maybe possible but too early at the moment!
Really looking into options, maybe find somewhere willing to do 9 nights, although maybe doing two nights in another part of the GM appeals, although looking like it is not possible.

pierre et vancances at Terrases d'els certainly let you do low season extensions - but more likely to do 10 nights rather than 3. Easier if just 2 of you probably. there is also a lot of air bnb action, including in hameau.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Milk hotel in Les Carroz may be able to cater for you. We've certainly stayed for a couple of nights in Jan. V nice.

Thanks for the replies, this is probably not possible as most places only do the odd nights in very low season. May look into somewhere for the whole 9 nights / 10 days as an alternative.

Unfortunately "Milk Hotel" can only offer full weeks at the moment for that time of year.
It does look nice however and well worth keeping in mind for the future.

9/10 nights would be an easier option and no doubt both Terrasses D'Eos and Terrasses D' Helios would have availability. I am in Terrasses D'Eos every year at the end of January and whilst it is usually almost fully booked it isn't purely week to week bookings

It might be worth trying La Bergerie B & B in Les Carroz. They are usually open to 'odd' length bookings.

I know this is quite an old thread now, and you have probably managed to arrange your accommodation, however if you are still looking at options try these. As far as I am aware very flexible on short stays. Situated in the Hameau at Flaine.
