Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Convert dynafit skin fittings?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I have been given some brand new dynafit skins, as the ones i use for my short little uphill bits are very worn out. So i may be able to stop sliding backwards at times!!

Issue is these new ones have a very specific dynafit tip attachment, has anyone replaced this or swapped it out for a more unversal fitting? or is it carry on with the duct tape?

Not done it but it looks dead easy to attach new tip loops e.g., these black diamond ones https://www.snowinn.com/skidor/black-diamond-adjustable-tip-loops-for-split-skins/125372/p?utm_source=google_products&utm_medium=merchant&id_producte=501366&country=se&gclid=CJnC1ufixNQCFUekGAodnNwOFw&gclsrc=aw.ds

Yep, those are easy to fit. Note, there are two sizes, one suitable for old, pointy ski tips while the other is more suited for modern, rounder skis.

I've converted K2 skins to universal by replacing the fitting with some, I think I used BD wire loops. It's easy to do. No worries if they aren't a perfect fit at the tip. Avoid leaving a large area at the front where snow can enter as you slid forward.
