Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Will be staying in Les Menuires over Easter weekend. Has anyone done the evening Ski Doos from Val Thorens?
It's not cheap but thought it may be good fun for an hour.

I did it about 30 years ago. Was good fun (I'm a biker and heated grips were a novelty back then
) but I've never felt the urge to do it again.
Dog sledding on the other paw is something I would do at every opportunity.
Are you thinking of popping up to see the EosBashers?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The last time I was in Val I was tempted to give them a go. It looks like good fun for a wanna be biker but I haven't spoken to anyone who has tried it.

Second best thing to do on snow.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Dunno about the ones in France, but we hired one in Riksgransen and had an amazing evening on the lake. We towed each other around on the skis and built some wee jumps. Managed to get up to an indicated 90kph before we bottled it.
We stupidly did it again 3 days later after some warm weather. That was amongst the most scared I've ever been in my life ... looking behind the skidoo and seeing the ribbon of clear blue water where the snow had been, and feeling the rig slump down every time I took my thumb off the throttle. Utterly gut wrenching in the middle of a huge lake.
