Poster: A snowHead

Starting the Haute Route next Monday but will be in Chamonix/Argentieres from tomorrow... We have a "training day" with the guide Sunday but wondering where would be best to stretch the legs Friday/Saturday?
Also: Are there any public storage lockers available or will I have to arrange with the hotels to store my bags?
Looking for recommendations for:
A good restaurant in Argentieres?
A good sports massage therapist in Chamonix?
A good restaurant in Chamonix?
Best place to buy spares (e.g. pole baskets)

Hotel is the easiest option for bag storage. Chamstore is also a possibility but its out past Les Houches. I think the Gite vagabond might also do bag storage. Your guide may also offer it.
Argentiere - P'tit Verte is the best restaurant IMO. Les Voisines is also good albeit service can be a bit slow. Dahu has gone downhill a lot since change in ownership; food fine but service very poor (slow and they forget things).
Spares - almost any shop... Stamos, Sanglard, Snell

Thanks! Only issue is, we're switching hotels from Argentieres to Chamonix when we return. So will somehow have to move the bags around.

Spares will surely depend on e.g. the brand of pole? I don't think there is a universal fit.
Chamonix restaurants: Telecabine, Bistrot des Sports, Bighorn, etc. depending on what you want.

Does anyone have any more info on the locker situation in Cham? We are staying in a self catering apartment, so have to be out on the morning of our departure, however are going to ski that day and get the last flight home. do the hire shops have lockers you could rent and store stuff in, or are there public lockers available for use?

@MountainIdiot, no (I don't know). I would imagine some shops might. Where is your apartment and what shop were you planning on using? Phone them?

Apartment is just off Rue la mollard,
I'm Not renting equipment myself, and haven't been there before that's why thought it'd be an idea to see if anyone had any experience of seeing lockers in the town etc. Sure I'll find something appropriate without too much drama

@MountainIdiot, the apartment doesn't have anywhere - garage, cave, etc? (I guess you've checked already).
I must confess that it's one thing that should be readily available, but (as I never have need) I have no idea other than that I have never heard of anywhere.

There were public lockers last season on the Cham side of the GM base station. It was just an overheated wooden hut, operated by the adjacent shop, but the lockers were big enough for an average persons luggage.
