Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thanks to CEM at http://www.solutions4feet.com/ for sorting out the tweaking of my boots.

Brief history, boots fitted 2 seasons ago by precision in Val D'Isere, pretty good all round apart from dead toes!!!

After a few hours at Solutions 4 feet and lots of minor tweaking I can now ski all day without dead toes, which makes the whole experience much better!

Mine was a particularly tough problem as there was nothing obvious, no red or marked areas on the foot, so CEM deduced it was a slow pressure issue.

Some slight blowing out of boot and liner combined with a few other tricks seems to have worked for me!

So if you want an honest, no BS, no flashy gadgets solution to boot problems, I'd recommend a visit!

Another satisfied customer!

I saw Colin today and he was fantastic. No rushing and sent hours with me doing analysis then taking me to the shop, trying different boots and waiting ages for me to stay in them in the shop to make sure the chosen pair were the correct fit. Of the boots that Colin thought might be suitable it turned out to be the cheapest paid (£129 plus £40 for the footbeds) which were best for me. I can’t imagine there is another company out there that will invest so much time with a customer to make sure the boots are right.

He is a mine of information about ski resorts and very sociable. I would recommend him thoroughly. The test will come when I go skiing in them but intend to put in plenty of hours wearing them around the house to bed them in before we head off next week. May make my planned evening runs to get some fitness before I go rather tricky though.

Ladies send all your menfolk to see Colin. His suggestion for wearing them in was that you need to be standing in them so suggested one of the best methods was to spend each evening ironing!

He also does specialist footbeds for running shoes too and stocks quality running shoes so if you are a runner I would suggest a visit. I drove from Ealing and its a very quick run - well worth the trip.

Thanks Colin

PS - I have no connection with the business and like Greg am just another satisfied punter.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yes, I've got to give a shout-out to these guys as well. Last season, they fitted me with new boots, liners, footbeds — the lot. Skiing was wonderful and the boots were amazing.

I went back this year as I had a small pressure point on one boot, and Colin quickly identified the issue and grinded the inside of the boot. Problem solved. Then Andi setup my new skis with my boots. All at no charge as they were adjustments.

Both Colin & Andi are a mine of wonderful knowledge and information, and I doubt you will get a better boot fitting anywhere.

The only word of warning I have is that Colin will select the correct boot for you (from his big selection) based on the correct size, fitting and flex etc. If want pick one because you like the colour or style you will get short shrift. Which is exactly what you would expect from such a professional, who wants your skiing experience to be the best Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks guys!

certainly is, however i echo the points that 1 Colin is like a foot god, and 2 he wont let you buy a boot based on colour Happy
