Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Clusaz - Feb half term

Travelled to La Clusaz for the Feb Half term week. This was a return visit to La Clusaz having been there he previous year. We opted on a return trip this year as we really enjoyed the ski area, the apartments were very good and lift passes were included in the cost of the booking.
Booked with Crystal ski staying at Les Grandes Alpes apartments. Short transfer time from Geneva of 1- 1 and a half hours. Apartment complex is very modern and a short walk across a busy road and down some steps in to the main church square. The complex has a nice pool, sauna and a games room with pool table, table football, TV and lots of board games.
Ski hire was with Skiset Point service in the town a short walk from the Cret du Merle chairlift. They store your skis and boots overnight in the shop so no need to trek back to the apartment in boots and carrying skis.
We had booked lessons with the ESI ski school and these were excellent. Booked three half days for the 4 of us and lessons went from 11:00 till 13:30. They have no more than 5 adults in their lesson groups. On our first day there was only 4 in our group so it almost felt like a private family lesson and the instructor was excellent.
Favourite runs in the resort for me were the Blues Les Joux and Laquais over in the Etale area and the short reds in Manigod - Vrailles, Veratres and Myrtilles. The reds over in La Balme area are a lot steeper and a lot more challenging so should be done later in your week when you have your ski legs back and increased your confidence.
Will be looking elsewhere for next season but will go back to this lovely village and ski area at some time in the future.
